Bassetts Omega 3+ Multivitamins

Every morning without fail Oscar and Archie have always had vitamins with their breakfast. As soon as they turned three they have had the chewy multivitamins. Giving them one that tastes good is always key as then they will willingly eat it.

Bassetts Vitamins have just launched new Omega 3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour Pastilles for 3-6 year olds. I gave them to Archie and he ate it straight away and said they were yummy. Each pastille is soft and chewy, so easy for little ones to eat and they smell so fruity too.

Each pastille contains Vitamin B6 which supports normal psychological function and Vitamin B5 which contributes to mental performance, which is so important when Archie is constantly on the go all of the time and learning new things all the time.

One of the best things about the Bassetts Vitamins Omega 3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour Pastilles for me is that they have no added sugar! Knowing Archie is getting a smart start to the day without any added sugar is great. They are made from natural flavours and colours and taste so orange and fruity.

We have been trying the new Bassetts Vitamins Omega 3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour Pastilles for a couple of weeks now and they are just part of our daily routine. I would highly recommend these multivitamins to help support a smart start to the day which also taste good.

We have had great fun getting creative as Archie could demonstrate how he think the multivitamin tastes. After all, being healthy should be a way of life for children which enables them to have fun and make the most out of each and every day.

A packet of thirty multivitamins is only RRP £5.50 which is a small amount to pay to support Archies. There is a next stage that Oscar takes which is for children age 7-11.

*Just a reminder, food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a healthy and balanced diet.

Fearne By Fearne Cotton For Boots Mini Club Autumn/Winter 2018

Yesterday we drove into London as we were invited by Boots Mini Club to come and see their new Autumn/Winter 2018 collection and the Fearne by Fearne Cotton collection exclusively designed by the gorgeous Fearne herself.

When we arrived there was a huge art and craft station for the kids to get creative at and add their own artwork on a lovely jute bag. Whilst Archie and Oscar were decorating their bags I walked around and looked at the new collection of clothes.

I started off in the baby room which was full of warm and cosy items ready to keep you little ones warm as the weather gets colder. So much extra detail has gone into the baby clothes; everything is 100% cotton for extra softness on delicate skin, everything also has nickle-free poppers to prevent any irritation and inside so you never miss a popper out again one is coloured copper, so you know to ‘always start with the copper popper’. So clever! I can’t tell you the amount of times I did poppers up wrong on sleep suits when changing the boys when I was so tired. One collection has little penguins on it which is so cute and the elephant cuddle robe is just adorable and super soft. For baby girls there are pretty dresses and tights sets and for boys lovely dungarees sets. My favourite is the knit dungarees set its so cute. There is also a Mickey and Minnie collection which is 0-24 months, A Wild World collection full of warm, soft hooded jumpers, bright prints and cosy knits. As well as all of your newborn essentials coming soon to Boots Mini Club is a super delicate premature baby range. I couldn’t believe how tiny the clothes were. I spoke to a lady who was representing Bliss Baby Charity about the importance of soft fabrics and velcro fastenings on premature baby clothes. The clothes open fully flat so you can dress your baby carefully. This will be in stores from the 17th of November.

The Toddler range (18 months to 6 years) again is full of beautiful brightly coloured clothes with bold prints and designs. There are lots of hoodies, cardigans, dress and tights combos, cool tshirts, jeans and jeggings. Everything you need to keep your little one layered up and warm over the colder months. Archie loved the water resistant puddle jumpsuits that neatly fold into itself to make a backpack.

Dare I mention it, Christmas! The Christmas collection and occasional wear is gorgeous. Lovely Christmas jumpers, Christmas pyjamas and party wear for the big day. The Christmas Moments collection also has the cutest bits for babies first Christmas; Mr and Mrs Claus all in ones, my first Christmas sets and Christmas jumpers. Everything you need to dress your little ones up over the festive period.

Ok, I have saved the best until last! The Fearne by Fearne Cotton Autumn/Winter 18 collection. I just love it! You can really see Fearne’s cool, quirky and bold personality in her designs and I am very jealous that she has adult versions of some of the pieces, especially the leopard print tracksuit!

Her baby range goes from 0-12 months and everything has bold prints and slogans on it. When she introduced her collection to us she said she wanted to get across creativity in children, fun and positivity. You can see just how much thought has been put into the designs and the way in which Fearne spoke about her pieces you could see how proud she is of her collection.

For boys and girls aged 12-7 years the creativity focus comes across in a cute pencil design dress, cool tshirt designs and slogan tees such as ‘Make Create, Ta-Da.’ The collection just oozes ‘cool’ with double denim combos, gender neutral jeans, leopard prints, animal prints and the most gorgeous girls party dresses and fur coats. It’s super trendy!

The collections are available online and instore now. Everything is reasonably priced and so well made. Head to Boots Mini Club now to get everything you need for your little one’s Autumn/Winter wardrobe now. A word of warning though…. Your kids will be way trendier than you!

NFL Summer Bowl 2018 Presented By Subway®

Last week I was invited to an amazing event by Subway® who are the presenting partner of the NFL London Games. Subway® asked me to go along to their Summer Bowl which is where children from all over the country come together to compete in the national final of the NFL Flag programme presented by Subway®. They get to meet some real-life NFL players too! The American football scene has grown rapidly of the last few years in  the UK and Ireland with both adults and children trying out the fast-paced and action-packed sport. A whooping 40,000 people over the age of 16 are playing the sport in England at least once per month with more and more trying it out everyday.

Sadly I am In Greece so I sent my good friend Steve along in my place who absolutely loves NFL! Even on his birthday last year we had an NFL cake made for him. He has been to games here and in America and I knew he would have an amazing time.

The NFL Flag programme presented by Subway® gives children between the ages of 8-11 exposure to the sport of American Football without the helmets pads and contact. Flag football is such a fantastic sport and the Summer Bowl was an amazing event with children from all over the UK competing together. Flag football is growing within the UK and Ireland and the partnership between the NFL and Subway® will enable the game to grow even faster. I know it’s a game that Oscar would love to learn and play at school. NFL Flag Presented by Subway® is currently operating in eight cities including London, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, Gloucester, Peterborough and Cardiff, with plans to roll out the programme to Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.

The best aspects of the game are that both boys and girls are encouraged to play together. Also the coaches don’t just coach the football aspects but tutor the children in nutrition and healthy lifestyle as well as giving them positive role models and teaching loyalty and respect which are core aspects of the NFL.

The Summer Bowl is the national final for the children who have been competing over the last few months. It is the culmination of all of the regional tournaments which brings together all of the winning schools. Over 10,000 kids in the UK have already taken part in the NFL Flag programme, presented by Subway®. I think this is a great event and gives the children involved a huge sense of achievement getting to the finals and then getting to meet their NFL heroes in person. Its a really special event!

At the Summer Bowl, six NFL players were present and were signing autographs and helping to coach the kids. The players included Jurrell Casey of the Tennessee Titans, Josh Lambo of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jared Cook of the Los Angeles Raiders, Kyle Emmanuel of the Los Angeles Chargers and Super Bowl winner Mack Hollins of the Philadelphia Eagles. The star of the show however was Neiko Thorpe who was both engaging and funny and also did a wicked back flip! The kids absolutely loved meeting the players and the players were fantastic with them again exemplifying the core aspects of the NFL.

Overall it was a brilliant day and flag football should be on the radar of all schools. It’s a fantastic way to get fit, have fun, play sport safely and learn really important skills such as teamwork. The ultimate goal is to get teachers trained to deliver the curriculum on their
own and for Subway® to bring NFL Flag to more cities across the UK and Ireland. After the Summer I am going to tell Oscar’s PE teachers all about it and try and get them involved. If you want to get your school involved send this link to them and ask them to register their interest now HERE!

Also, if you are in a Subway® store in September, look out for the NFL-themed Kids Pak!

Our Holiday At The Venosa Beach Hotel And Spa, Didim ☀️

As I am writing this I am sitting by the pool in Turkey and it’s very hot, 37 degrees today! Oscar is loving it and has been playing in the pool all day long and eating his body weight in Ice cream! (so have I).

We booked our holiday back in March through Thompson/First Choice as we used them to book our holiday to Crete last year and were really pleased with it. We also got a great deal as Oscar finishes school earlier than the state schools we manage to save a whopping £1200!!

We are staying at the Venosa beach hotel and spa in Didim and it’s beautiful. Right on the beach and has several pools for Oscar to play in. We are on a all inclusive deal which is great as you can drink and eat as much as you like. This deal is especially great round the pool during the day as you can have unlimited bottles of water and in this heat you will need a lot.

For children there is also a mini club for ages 4-12 if you wanted to put your little ones in for a bit (I haven’t used it myself, I personally wouldn’t leave Oscar). There is also a childrens play ground put we have had more fun together in the pool. Oscar wears his Zoggs float discs that he uses at his swimming lessons and has so much confidence in the water, jumping in and out. Lot’s of people have commented on how great he is in the water. I am so glad I took him to lessons from such an early age!

In the evening there is a mini disco that Oscar loves except he keeps saying he doesn’t understand the songs as they are in Turkish, bless him so he trys to copy the other children as best as he can.

There will be more on our holiday and plenty of photos to follow when we get back! Hope the weather back home is good! Xxx
