The New Energi Trampoline Park Coming To Wilmslow & Competition

I posted about my friends at Energi Leisure Parks in October, ahead of the opening of their trampoline park in Preston in October. I’ve been to visit a couple of times  and it’s a brilliant venue for the whole family and has been a great success. I mentioned on the last blog post that the next Energi would not be far behind and we have been kept up to speed with the plans. Energi Wilmslow in Cheshire is all but complete and the doors will open at the end of this month!! It will be located at:

Energi Trampoline Arena, 4 Brooke Park, Epsom Avenue, Handforth, Wilmslow, Cheshire. SK9 3RL.

You can check out their Facebook page for regular updates, offers and competitions and also the Energi website.

I’ll post some pictures this week of the park which Greg and I have been shown and we’re looking forward to taking Oscar and Archie to the opening next week. Like Preston it’s in a super convenient location with plenty of on-site parking and the arena contains even more attractions and facilities this time. Over a hundred trampolines of different shapes and styles, airbags to jump onto, foam pits to play in, a climbing wall, interactive games, a separate kids one and much, much more.

As well as trampolining fun Energi have decided to offer organised parties, tots parties, street dance classes, Freerun lessons, and fitness classes for all ages. Call Energi Wilmslow on 0161 672 6799 for full details ahead of the online booking system going live later in the month. They’re already taking party bookings.

Not a penny has been spared on the development and it looks incredible.  As at Preston there is a really nicely designed cafe serving a variety of hot and cold food, top quality gourmet coffee and other hot drinks and ice slushes as a treat for the kids.

I have been invited to help with the opening party which is really exciting and have a limited no. of tickets for the event so if any local bloggers would like to attend please get in touch with me quickly!! You can email me on mummyszone@gmail.com

I am not allowed to say just yet but Mummy’s Zone is aware of the next two locations set to open in the next couple of months. Watch this space! I also have a family ticket for 4 people for one of my readers to win and go and check out Energi Wilmslow for yourself! Enter below and Good Luck!

Peter Rabbit Is Coming To Willows Farm, April

In April 2016 Peter Rabbit will be arriving at Willows Farm. We love Peter Rabbit in our house, Oscar has all of the toys and I have passed down my Beatrix Potter book collection to Oscar and Archie and in my kitchen I have the most beautiful Peter Rabbit tea pot and Miss Tiggywinkle cookie jar. So I was so excited to hear that Peter Rabbit and his friends were coming to Willows Farm as we visit there a lot and know it will be great fun!

The area, to be named the ‘Peter Rabbit™ Adventure Playground’ will be 1,400 square metres in size and aims to encourage active, imaginative and wholesome play for children. It will have ten activities themed around the world-famous and much-loved Peter Rabbit characters, including the Mrs Tiggy-Winkle Kitchen, a Jeremy Fisher Musical Pond and Benjamin Bunny Treetop Adventure. The new play attraction will open to coincide with the 150th anniversary of the birth of Beatrix Potter, author of the original books.

The play area’s centrepiece will be The Peter Rabbit Secret Treehouse, built around a 100 year old ash tree at Willows Activity Farm. This is a huge investment for Willows Farm and I love how they keep developing bigger and better things to give children the best day out!

Paradise Wildlife Park, Broxbourne

On Saturday we went to Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne. I exchanged our Tesco clubcard vouchers so instead of £48 it only cost us £18. We hadn’t told Oscar we were going and he was so surprised and excited when we got there. It was also Archie’s first trip to the Zoo.

We arrived at about 11 o’clock and it wasn’t to busy and only took five minutes to queue to pay to get in. You can pre book tickets online but I couldn’t use my vouchers. If you don’t have vouchers it is cheaper to book online then on the day at the park.

We really enjoyed our day at Paradise Wildlife Park and couldn’t believe how close up we were to the animals. This is the closest we have been to the animals at a zoo in the UK. The big cats are amazing and Oscar loved the Gibbons. There is so much to do at the zoo as there is a farm, play area, slides and bouncy castles, woodland train and shows to keep you busy too. We brought animal food for £1 and fed the animals in the farm. Oscar wasn’t to sure to start with but finally fed the goats in the end.

We took a picnic with us and there are plenty of benches around the park to eat on. We were there for about four hours and Oscar can’t wait to go back again.

Review: Peppa Pig World At Paultons Park

On Tuesday we went to Peppa Pig World at Paulton’s Park on our way home from our amazing few days in the New Forest with our friends (more about that later!) We arrived just before opening time to try and beat the queues. We didn’t have to queue for tickets but I was astounded that for the three of us it cost £78.50. All children over 1 metre tall, no matter how old are charged at £27 which I think is really over priced or £23.50 if you buy online in advance. Personally I think there should be a cheaper rate for going into Peppa Pig World itself as we didn’t go on any rides in the Paulton’s Park bit as Oscar was exhausted after a few hours going on the Peppa Pig rides and playing in the George’s indoor spaceship play zone.

Peppa Pig World is made up of seven fun rides and is really well laid out and looks great. Oscar and Olivia were amazed by it and couldn’t believe it all! All the characters and rides looked just like the cartoon. They also got to meet Peppa, George, Susie Sheep and Zoe Zebra. There is also a muddy puddle splash park, Mr Potato’s play area and Daddy Pig’s Big Tummy cafe and Miss Rabbits Ice cream parlour where you can grab a bite to eat.

It was really busy when we were there and some of the rides had 45 minute queues even though we were there when the park opened at 10am. Overall we had a great day and the kid’s really enjoyed it, the only down side is I think it is massively over priced!

Our Day Out At Colchester Zoo

On the way to our Haven weekend break last week we stopped off on the way at Colchester Zoo. We found that you definitely will need a Sat Nav as there was literally only two signs for zoo coming from our direction. We got a bargain as we changed up our Tesco clubcard vouchers so it only cost us £4. When we arrived it was really easy to park and once we were inside the zoo it is easy to wok your way around thanks to yellow arrows painted on the floor. The zoo is huge with so many things to do including a massive outdoor play area and a soft play area inside too.

I took a picnic with us but when looking at the food prices they were quite reasonable. Oscar loved the zoo and we saw everything from Meerkats to Tigers. Colchester Zoo is without a doubt the best zoo I have visited in the UK. With the animals having so much space, especially the area for the Zebras, Giraffes and Rhinos as they are all together on a massive plain. We were at the zoo for around four hours and we were non stop the whole time. We didn’t have the best weather but the rain thankfully held off. As it was quite windy some of the animals were not allowed out in their large enclosures and were confined to their sleeping quarters which meant we got really close up to them. Oscar couldn’t believe it!

I would defiantly recommend visiting Colchester Zoo, if we didn’t have our Tesco Clubcard vouchers it would have cost around £54 for the three of us. We had a great day out even though the weather wasn’t the best!
