With only a week until Christmas Eve I’m trying to be really organised as this year I’m cooking the Christmas lunch for the three of us, my in laws and my brother and sister in law. Last year I cooked the Christmas lunch for just the three of us which was much easier. Then later on in the afternoon my parents and my brother and my Nanny will come over for afternoon tea and presents!
I’ve been really organised and ordered my Turkey from Waitrose to pick up on Christmas Eve and everything else is coming in my Tesco delivery on the 23rd. I’m pretty much done with getting everyone’s presents and I aim to finish all the wrapping by the end of the week.
Every year as a little tradition we take Oscar to Harrods to see Father Christmas and give him Oscar’s Christmas list. This year he has only asked for five things bless him! A pirate ship, pumpaloons game, monsters university DVD, a minion and despicable me 2 DVD. We’re going to meet Father Christmas on Thursday and I can’t wait!
Apparently when I was younger I used to write a massive list and would always write the price and tell Father Christmas what shop to buy it from haha.
Oscar finished school on Friday so we will have lots of fun this week on the run up to Christmas. Yesterday we went out for lunch with Oscar’s Great-Auntie Liz who he loves spending time with and we always have lots of fun!
Then at some point we need to build and decorate our gingerbread house. I brought the full kit from Morrisons for only £4.99 and it comes with everything you need to decorate it. Then as I said before we’re going to London on Thursday to see Father Christmas. I love watching his little face as he gets so excited as he counts down the sleeps until Christmas morning. Christmas is really about your children and there is no better feeling then seeing him excited and believing in the magic of Christmas.
